Generally, trying to pick the bottom is a dangerous game. You're likely to either miss out or buy and watch it drop further (cut your hand on the falling knife).
Generally, you're better off catching it on the bounce. Wait for it to bounce then quickly grab it and enjoy the majority of the ride up.
Sure, you won't have timed it perfectly, but you remove so much risk at so little cost. Just watch out for bull traps.
