It's not the auto union workers fault. I'm fairly sure that the OEM executives, banks, brokers and major shareholders all live in bigger houses than the average autoworker.
Watch "Who killed the Electric Car", as it's a good insight into who is responsible for the shit position that the OEMs find themselves in.
In 1990 they didn't expect China to rise so quickly. Now they pay the price.
