For those that are interested there was a bit more shorting than usual (as a percentage of daily trade) last week but that hasn't continued this week (so far). The weakness we have seen this week is probably more attributed to panic selling than anything else (possible final capitulation wave 5 down).


Also, keep in mind that the shorting on Galan is currently relatively minor in the scheme of things. This is showing Galan sitting in 14th spot out of the lithium companies with defined resources (list also includes a couple of the larger MC explorers without resources), and 169th on the ASX. A big part of the short position started on CXO when they entered the ASX 200 - I can't see that being transferred to us any time soon (we probably don't have the liquidity for it to grow too much).
