Sodium battery car in production with JAC Motors. Although not having energy density as good as Lithium it does seem competitive for urban driving with better high and low temperature charging and less volatile. This doesn't compete pound for pound because of energy density with lithium but i believe it will be another reason for lithium prices to not race away again, as car manufactures will look for alternatives if price goes to high. But another good reason GLN should do ok with low cost operation.
