A couple interesting announcements today by some other players in the Li segment.Not even in the same universe as GLNs size or purity, yet 75% of our Market Cap. Actually not too far off Candelas size on reflection.
- AGY upgrading their MRE, 686kt LCE @329mg/L
Tells me that the pricing and supply dynamics being communicated currently (a.k.a oversupply) are not really reflective of what's happening behind existing agreements and looking into the future. E.g PLS having the option, rather than Ganfeng, implies to me that PLS had the upper hand in negotiation and are giving themselves the option to supply elsewhere if they decide
- PLS increasing their offtake with Ganfeng, up 150ktpa from 160ktpa to 310ktpa for 2024 and minimum 260ktpa 2025-26 (100ktpa incremental) with PLS (as the supplier) having an option to sell another 50ktpa
Can the Glencore DD finish already? Risk reward at these levels seems as good as anything I can see at the moment.
