I don’t think there’s ever been a question of whether management are aligned or not - they’ve always been considerable co-owners of the business (when I first invested they owned over 7% of the company), and have consistently participated in raises or bought on market. Money raised from shareholders has also gone straight into the project, not into corp/admin expenses or their own pockets.
The only management question that really remains is: was it the right decision to push ahead with p1 construction with funding unresolved? Jury is still out on that one. By JP’s own admission they have been caught out by the different speed with which Glencore choose to operate.
I don’t think there’s ever been a question of whether management...
