One of our difficulties is we can only really get an offtake with someone who can use LiCl, so a brine producer or a commodity trader like Glencore who can then connect to that party. In both instances, that means parties who don't want too much supply in the market anytime soon.

the other difficulty is that lithium carbonate plants are tuned to their feedstock, so while in theory our LiCl can be added, I imagine it still presents an engineering challenge for the 3rd party.

anyway, a long term arrangement like a JV probably would work best here.
