Have to agree here. The managing director spent 18+ months sprinkling non-dilutive funding (which no other junior had pulled off) and then went and did completely the opposite. He threw down $1M at 46c (currently worth $358K), and then another $500K at 23c (also now worth $358K). Normally such strong director buying would be great alignment, but all it tells investors is that JP is as blinkered about the challenges facing the business as anybody. If I was him I wouldn’t be standing at conferences or sitting on podcasts boasting about how much of his own money he has torched in just the past six months.
No sensible investor wants to be aligned with someone who treats even their own capital with such reckless disdain.
