When ever I've done the math on any battery deals they have always been very poor for existing panel owners. ROI on batteries is usually decades and batteries are probably dead by then.
iI get 15c tarrif on unused power now and my systems have paid for themselves.
Batteries should be mandatory in all new builds IMHO. For now the Powerwall would need to be sub $5k for me to consider one.
