I'm not saying the GXY drilling is on our boarder, it is on their side but it is on the south end of their tenement; my second image (showing Candelas) was from GLN website and the border lines are quite thick on a zoomed out map.
Regarding why they should do it there, it might be different reasons: trying to get the full image on what is on their resource, looking for a better place for wells, or it might be similar with JP's view that, closer to the source, the deposit is less compacted with a higher content of sand and gravel which gives a much higher porosity and easy way to extract the brine.
Either way I will be really happy with an earlier result.
