There are a couple of things I'm keeping an eye on, in the transportation spectrum, that I think will create big changes in the next year or two:
- electric buses - this will catch up really quick as the technology make total sense here: start-stop pattern (great efficiency for EV case), short distances (not an issue with a limited range) and a small pause at the end of the line every hour or two (allowing top-up charge)
- self driving - this will create a massive disruption as we'll start to see car fleets emerging, changing public transport entirely
