I think International Graphite suffers from two existential threats:

    1. The Chinese have got a squirrel-grip on the graphite market and are holding prices way way way below cost. That's just their mode of operation with boutique commodities. Without government support it simply makes no rational sense to turn on additional graphite production in current circumstances.

    2. Matthew O'Kane has got a squirrel-grip on International Graphite and is stifling any market interest in the company. To me, there is a clear conflict of interest with his active involvement in both Comet and International Graphite. Which means it is nigh impossible for them to raise capital in the market.

My view these days is that International Graphite can only survive in the iron lung of government hand-outs: like White Ibis turning into bin chickens what were once innovators are at risk of becoming rent seekers. I'm still around merely because I'd really love to see them survive and thrive - I continue to think they have a great pitch. But I suspect the dearth of recent tangible progress is them hanging out for another show of support from either WA or the feds. Hey, Albo!?! You out there, mate?!?
