Happens all the time, there's constant games being played, Algo trading, and all the odd amounts of shares being bought and sold, the "market makers" algo buys and sells shares to itself to push the price up and down to accumulate more shares, tricking people into selling and triggering stop losses, all sorts of stuff goes on that us mere mortals cant fathom.
