It’s my understanding that a lot of Chinese rare earths isn’t Chinese at all but comes from Myanmar and that supply has been turned off.
I think we’ve got simple supply and demand issues. The early uptakes for electric vehicles are done and there hasn’t as yet been a second wave so the materials needed to make them have taken a hit.
That volume will be back when fleet buyers join the purchasing and the early adopters share their positive experiences.
