For context Tesla cars that are imported are made in chinas giga factory , Hilux and fortuna are made in Thailand. We don't manufacture vehicles in Australia , regarding agricultural products in the past whats lost by most is that trumps tariffs against china while in power was leverage for Chinese to import American agriculture products over Australian exporters, the narrative regarding origin of covid is only telling half the story of why china imposed restrictions on Australian agriculture. Some which didn't work , crayfish circumvented the trade restrictions, so did coal and several other commodities . A more pragmatic approach to dumping is proof of origin regarding environmental responsibility of the manufacturing of the vehicles. That would be a start.
