Whilst rare earths don’t seem THAT rare , large economical deposits are.
The resources required to live our modern lifestyle are in limited supply.
Securing resources is going to be the challenge in the upcoming decades, the cost of those resources might be less of a concern than the availability of said resources.
I reckon eventually landfills will be mined for the resources they contain.
Recycling won’t just be environmentally good it will also be economically wise.
The abundant uses for rare earths will continue to require our mine in Brazil to operate far into the future.
