There's never been any talk of the ponds being covered to inhibit evaporation!

The only advice about lining the ponds has been in relation to completing the new smaller ponds (refer below extract from the last quarterly.

The concentrated brine (aka feedstock) is currently stored on site at the pilot plant.  

And there is no such thing as having too much feedstock!  

The reason the ponds have been built first, is that the evaporation process takes time - so far from being a problem, building up a stockpile of feedstock is the objective to better enable the continuous and efficient running of the processing plant.
