One factor could well be that the plan was to sell concentrate to.. Russia.
So 2024 is a fair way off yet, but there is now a risk that selling to them won't be viable.
It may well be that everything will be sweet but AAU will need to find another potential concentrate buyer. This may be doable, i don't know, but until its is obvious to the market that if Russia buyers fall by the wayside others will eagerly step in, there will be some drag on the sp.
Apart from that, new cold war, cuba being a communist country etc. probably just short term nervousness but it has heightened the sovereign risk component of this stock unfortunately imo.
