They have the results of 80 holes previosuly in the 1990s drilled in to the oxide cap (and some are partially drilled through to the underlying/surrounding porphyry system)
The upcoming drilling campaign is clearly just to tick boxes and meet JORC requirements.
They know perfectly well what they have in terms of grades and volume. But they can't yet announce it on the ASX as the historic drill data is not ASX/JORC reporting compliant.
It is frustrating that for example, they have a historic drill hole that hit 103m at 0.85 g/t gold and 0.5% copper OUTSIDE of the oxide cap (so clearly we have a working porphyry system of reasonable/high grades). Would be nice for the wider market to see a result like this formally reported... gives a lot of confidence that we may be on to a very very material porphyry copper discovery.
