I don't fully understand it but I think it can, I'm in another (apparently) pretty manipulated stock and holders often complain about small sales like that pushing the price down in the closing trades. As @WLJ pointed out, it's probably a good sign that people think it's worth playing games with, presumably to acquire more shares. There would be 0 value in manipulating this for the sake of it, there would have to be an ulterior motive you'd think
