Interview from a few days ago with Brian. Sounds to me like they're set on bringing in a partner to get the cash to fund this first project. I think if AAU can do some kind of sell-down to free carry to production for both the oxide cap and then the same deala or another one for La Dem... I'd be happy to see AAU be left holding 15-25% of these projects instead of the 50% in exchange for development costs being covered. With a minority holding in two projects that generate reasonable amounts of cash, they should have the cash-flow at that point to mature the rest of the portfolio holding the full 50%... and it seems there is a long pipeline of projects that the Cuban govt seem happy to feed AAU with (I have still never worked out where the govt connection is to get all of these deals, if it is Brian or someone else they have on board... but it is boarderline sketchy at times).
