We are here to support you through COVID-19

It is hard to believe that we are rounding out week nine of working remotely. As we continue to adapt to our new lives with extraordinary dexterity and agility, and as the landscape continues to change, I want to share some of our priorities to support you.

Firstly, to our healthcare customers, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment and for the important work you are doing to protect our communities from COVID-19. We hope you and your staff are managing to stay safe and in good spirits during this challenging time. From everyone at Alcidion, thank you!

Our priority continues to be the health and wellbeing of our people and customers, as we maintain our business operations and make the adjustments required to work effectively in this evolving situation. We are making it easier for our employees around the world to access resources and support our customers. We have employed several new people to support our high-performing teams and build a strong remote work culture.

We are committed to helping our customers and partners tackle coronavirus in any way we can. We will continue discussions about how we can adapt our wide range of technologies to respond quickly to your needs, to ensure you can provide the highest quality of care to your patients and safeguard the wellbeing of your staff. Our recentblogdemonstrates the importance of customer experience to everyone at Alcidion.

We are working with hospitals that use our Patientrack solution to implement a coronavirus assessment tool to support frontline staff with screening and early intervention. We have also developed monitoring dashboards and a mobile solution on ourMiya Precisionplatform for home and hospital monitoring, to deliver better visibility and communication between clinicians, and give patients the care they need, no matter where they are.

For over a decade, integrated ‘out-of-hospital’ models of care have been sitting on the fringes of health service delivery. Now, in the midst of COVID-19, these technology-driven approaches have taken centre stage with new care models adopted. The way we deliver health care is changing.

In different and profound ways, the coronavirus will leave a lasting mark in the way we live our lives and look at the world. The world after COVID-19 will be more resilient, connected and supported as we experiment with how we can use technology to improve our lives and the lives of others. This change is nowhere more apparent than in the healthcare industry.

At Alcidion, we believe that people will always have an important role in healthcare, and face-to-face interactions will continue. However, there are opportunities to create a more efficient and effective healthcare system using technology. We are here to support this endeavour.

While we focus on the day-to-day challenges our customers are facing, we are looking towards life after COVID-19 and how we can work with our customers to develop integrated, innovative solutions to support new models of care.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is any way we can support you during this time.

    Yours sincerely,
    Kate Quirke

The system will automatically calculate the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2) which is used by professionals across the NHS to quickly identify if a patient’s conditioning may be worsening.
