They needed Silverlink PAS to bid on EPRs. PAS is a module of the Miya Precision / EPR solution and is a must-have in bids.
All the 2022 focus was on 'modular EPR' because, perhaps naively, the company thought the UK govt-imposed EPR deadlines wouldn't slip.
In 2023, the ALC focus has moved away from modular EPR to fixing critical issues such as patient flow (now integrated with Cerner in the UK and Australia) and using the platform as an integration layer. This may tie in with the expected first release of the platform as the basis of the longitudinal healh record for the ADF, which is still a very big thing and which I hope they'll exploit fully when it happens. I thought this first release was to be November this year.
Like you I don't think they're firing on all cylinders and I think they're struggling to poistion themselves in the market. Their comms are poor - I shouln't have to guess strategy.
Did they pay too much for Silverlink? Probably. Did I? Definitely
