The elephant in the room is the lack of contracts from the UK where ALC has invested a lot of money.
ALCs last contract was back in Mar 2021. (Extramed had a small contract in Oct). Kate has done her best to keep our spirits up by saying in Oct quarterly that contracts were being negiotated.
As a long term holder I am very optimistic about 2022. I believe that contracts which were under negotiation in UK are now being regnegotiated to include Silverlink and Extramed and that these new contracts will be much bigger than before.
The pandemic has put management in uk hospitals under extreme pressure to keep going day to day and the past year has not been a great time to introduce an new IT system and train staff in its use.
Covid 19 is much more managable in 2022 but it will leave hospitals with a tremendous backlog of patients needing procedures, this is where ALC comes in.
There has been another problem in UK with discharging patients into care homes with staff shortages and a social welfare system which is unable to care for them when they return home.
If the sp can hold around the 21/24 range for a few months I think we will be fine and then we should get some major announcements. ( imo the russian/ ukraine thing is sabre rattling and will blow over, no side would have anything to gain in that war, but plenty to lose).
