My take on the current events - based upon "vibe" rather than knowledge. The COVID issue, we presumed, would lead to a ramp up in health care IT purchases. The COVID pandemic certainly exposed how inefficient many hospitals are in the area of IT. (I ended up in a Melbourne Hospital due to COVID, mid last year, and the amount of paperwork and duplication and regurgitating of my info was insightful).
Rather than double down on IT for the health industry, i think most of our leaders have wished COVID good bye, and tightened the purse strings for IT updates.
When you are dependent on Government for procurement, patience is required. Hopefully a change of Government in the UK will lead to increased budgets. As for our Australian hospitals - good luck. I don't any of our politicians regard health care IT as little more than a vanity, or needless expense.
