Also in for the long haul….not by choice mind but ALC is in my sin bin (ie SP so dire might as well see what happens). I should have sold when SP was around 12cents, but was caught short by the “surprise” CR that killed the SP (and my faith in the management) anond trapped. Hard decisions on reducing cash burn should have been made a lot earlier. Fortunately my life savings not in this one.
We will see what the end state is with the NHS (which is a vortex for UK taxpayers money but at least they get some healthcare out of it). I can see more cash pledges coming with an election coming up but it will be on “front line services”
not backend stuff like ICT. The UK economy is in a dire state so unlike Aus which sluices taxpayers money around like drunken sailors, the same won’t be happening in UK. @chaddy36 might be prescient at redeploying his capital elsewhere rather than enduring the slow torture currently being endured by shareholders - it almost makes you wish for something - anything (good or bad - preferably good) to happen rather than be in the doldrums we are in.
