I think government policy is the only thing stopping Santos from making a play on Bass. Because of this uncertainty is why I have exited and re-entered 4 times in the last 3 weeks. BAS has been trading heaven. Lots of volume and very predictable. The only concern I have is will I get one more chance to sell high and rebuy lower before a major re-rate. At the moment imo no value is given to the gas nearology play from our partner. As soon as government policy regarding new projects leans more towards common sense rather than appeasing their masters this will re-rate quickly. It's just common sense has been lacking over the last few years which is why so many investors have become traders due to the uncertainty. Of course I don't want to miss the bus when this takes off but already I have done really well from this stock which in many ways has made up for some of the rest of my portfolio. Gltah.
