    Agreed, his last acquisition was Oil Search and that was a biggie and took a while to absorb.

    That's what he means by M&A activity.

    Buying a minnow next door which is run by an ex-Santos guy for loose change is not M&A activity ... it is merely developing an existing asset by expanding its footprint.
