From what I've heard South Africa, Botswania and Nambia are some of the better African countries. Zimbabwe not sure maybe up there with the Congo (AVZ still suspended?) in terms of country risk. Australia isn't without its political issues either in the oil and gas sector SCOMO secretly acted as energy minister and scuttled the bph project as I understand it.
