The iron content is the root cause of the blowout during ramp up. Brett touches on this at the 121 mining conference @ 30mins; "extracting iron in the plant is very painful, economically and efficiently".
This forum picked up on the processing improvements as a result of moving the iron separators into the pit, but the cost/impact of doing so was obfuscated and largely unadvised. Ultimately this raise will help transition NAL's processing capabilities from 3300T to 5500T over the next 18-24 months (121 mining @ 31mins).
Obviously not happy with the current dilution, but if we improve processing capabilities by ~65% over the next two years as a result, then I'm not overly concerned with the outcome.
I will wait for clarity before any decision making.
