Doesn't make sense though does it.
Imagine lending out your shares for shorting. The shorters use their leverage and general market sentiment to help push the SP down to the point where we get pushed out of the ASX200. They then return the shares to the Insto's, who then have to sell their shares at a loss.
It would suggest the only direction for our SP is up, so as to remain in the ASX200.
