Lithium based battery systems have come a long way in a short space of time. Dogs bark and jump using rechargeable batteries, as do many other portable devices, power tools cars, buses, even aeroplanes. Their use is becoming entrenched and demand indicators point to an escalating upward path for the foreseeable future. That future may not currently foresee alternative displacement on current trends and whilst inroads are being made for alternatives, currently total replacement is a developer's dream or more perhaps a nightmare.

There will always be those seeking alternatives even if only as a competitor. Price points, safety, innovation, longevity, availability of other suitable materials long term and technological advances will in part determine where this space is heading. Currently I dare say lithium is a safe play. The amount of research, refinement of technology ensuring desired outcomes and the amount of money poured into projects is staggering. But down the track - it is difficult to be certain. If one thinks of revolutions - one can see throughout history they come and go. We have a revolution - an electric one - in this case it may be here for some time but what makes up the composition of this revolution can and in all possibility will change as time pushes forward.

As far as holders go, all of us obviously want a return on our investment - woof woof and a wagging tail to that. Some, by virtue of the depth of research, want more than that - they have a vision of seeing Sayona as a long and soon to be profitable supplier and producer of this white gold and are here for the long bumpy ride and will be on this journey long after some, who only casually dropped in recently to say hello and see what they can get in a very short space of time foregoing any thought of SYA's long journey ahead and moving on to the next big thing or else if sp heads south, have a hissy fit. Having said that, one can't really blame them, as with all these quick changes in technology one can so easily be burnt. Add in the risk of possible company failures - remembering that NAL itself did fail and fail twice and the risks multiply.

I sincerely hope that Sayona succeeds on all fronts to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Now bring on those howling huskies and lead Sayona on. See, dogs can be very useful after all. AIMHO.
