Did you watch the interview? For what it's worth he was full of praise for SYA and pointed out SYA is the operator... what more do you want from him in a setting like that?
Hate to break it to you but Sayona Quebec is a joint venture and as such both SYA and PLL are entitled to claim producer status.
That was not a promotional segment for SYA but full credit to him, he mentioned SYA at the start and gave them full credit including stating that SYA has done a wonderful job.
I think anyone outside the echo chamber would view that and think wow, this guy is really proud of the achievements of SYA at their JV.
