- Most of Europe has banned sale of fossil fuel cars from 2030
- ACT has banned sale of fossil fuel cars from 2035
- public sector in Australia to only purchase non fossil fuel cars
- Australia most likely to ban from 2035.
- all the older fossil fuel cars will then have 5-10 years to phase out which would mean more demand for electric cars over time.
- batteries on EV only have 10 year warranty so mostly need to be replaced after that further increasing the demand.

Norway: Norway has banned the sale of new gasoline-powered cars from 2025. Fully electric vehicles now make up about 60% of monthly sales in Norway.

Netherlands: The Netherlands has banned the sale of new diesel cars from 2024 and gasoline cars from 2030.

Denmark has banned the sale of new diesel cars from 2030 and gasoline cars from 2035

U.K. has banned the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2030.

France: France has banned the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2040.

China: China, the world's largest auto market, has announced plans to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2035.

India: India has announced plans to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2040.

California: California has banned the sale of new gasoline-powered cars from 2035.

Quebec: Quebec has banned the sale of new gasoline-powered cars from 2035.

Hong Kong: Hong Kong has banned the sale of new private fossil fuel cars from 2035.
