It's called bagholding.
The thing is that the lower that price goes, the greater the financial risk.
For example.
At 30c, to lose half of you money, price had to drop by 15c to 15c.
But at 2c, price would only have to drop by 1c to lose half of your money.
This needs big buyers to step in to give it people confidfence to buy.
