Not really, I would say its a blip.
Manufactures already have the next decade locked in anyway. You have most of the Europeans already going full EV by 2025, development has stalled on ICE powertrains. While there is a window to 2035 most are launching their last ICE models in the next coupe of years. From a resale point of view ICE cars won't be as desirable as the taxes in Europe will kill them.
While it's poor form from the UK it makes more sense to tie in with the European market.
