There is reason to believe that Liontown's share price is heading downwards in a big way.
Citi has lowered its price target for the stock from Albemarle's offer price of
$3 per share to $2.30 per share.....
If Liontown ends up at $2.30 per share after the capital raising is complete, Hancock's intervention will have
cost the 80.1% Liontown "minorities" a cool $1.23 billion have cost.
It is therefore unlikely that the Liontown shareholders who accepted the offer from
Albemarle's $3-per-share offer passed with horror and awe, will send Ms. Rinehart a Christmas card.
Hancock, of course, could make amends by making an offer for Liontown at a
Offer of $3 per share or more. But that's not likely to happen. Billionaires
like to play the long game, and that's what Liontown's "minorities" can expect from
their new largest shareholder.
