Why are we being valued @$850m NOW!!!! I blame management for that. I normally don’t complain, but enough is enough.
Because in terms of projected reduced production and potential earnings through the collapse of the concentrate price through FY 24 that may be fair value at the moment. There is actually no particular price a share should be only some vague market norms in a particular sector at any given time.
From a Company perspective it's taken a sub 1c share to its current price of 8.6c, despite the serious dilution required as a start up, in a relatively short time and that is a great result by any measure.
From a shareholders perspective success is measured by the price you bought in at and that lies squarely at the feet of the purchaser, the BOD have absolutely no say in the price of concentrate and that is by far has the biggest influence on the shareprice of a concentrate producer, both going up and coming down.
Many here are still living in the past when a parabolic and unsustainable moves in both the shareprice and the Lithium price distorted reallity , great times but far from normal.
Do the sums and find our value as a boring producer , forget about NPV , our assets such as MOBLAN great as they are, are as much a liability at the moment because they require significant financing and are years away from production, that applies to the NAL refinery as well. Their value lies in future potential revenue or if sold.
The new reality is our projected EPS could be as low as 1c in FY24 ( it wasn't long ago 4c per shar looked possible)hopefully it will be higher but hope is not a viable strategy. The Company is in excellent financial shape and that's the main thing, the shareprice will more or less follow the price of concentrate with deviations in either direction.
The BOD bashing has reached stupid levels as they often do on anonymous chatsites when things aren't going their way and reason goes out the window, but as always be carefull what you wish for..
Cheers Whisky
