Thanks for posting this. ASIC and the ASX should redo here. I don't know why Aust let short selling back in, from memory it was banded for a while, leaving only naked short selling illegal. A public company if it has little trading in their shares has other means to gain interest in the stock, like issue more shares to the public (not the existing limited insiders), make their operations better! so others see value in the company, or even remove it from being listed if they don't need to raise further funds. .... etc. Ban short selling, at least when it is artificially manipulating a stock. Otherwise regulators enforce regulations around naked short selling.
