Are you suggesting that SYA sell part of their stake in SYQ to Chevron to cover their share of the costs? It seems to me that we've approached the point where a FID is due next year and one partner may be wondering how to fund their 75% share of a Carbonate plant. It doesn't appear that free cashflow from NAL will cover the gap.
They would have a far better chance of PLL agreeing to take on another JV partner if it were for Hydroxide.
My expectation is that SYA will start dragging their feet on conversion to avoid taking on debt / reducing their equity in SYQ at this point in the cycle, knowing full well that the retail base will blame PLL for any financing related delays.
