PLS is in much the same position as SYA in that they are sending spodumene off shore for downstream processing.
They are currently building a mid-stream processing plant near their mine in the Pilbara.
The chemical produced will be lithium phosphate but there is scope to produce lithium sulfate as well as several grades of lithium carbonate.
The Calix process can be fully electrified, something that would suit having a plant in Quebec using hydroelectricity.
