SYA is alot more resilient than others that were victims of previous price crunches(Altura), and current ones too. The difference comes down to debt levels. Not having debt and having a pool of cash to call on in these times of low prices gives a company the option to either produce at break even or at a loss for a short period or go into care and maintenance or as in SYA case ramp up production to reduce costs per tonne so that you make a small profit.
I know JB didn't have these options open to him at Altura, so I'm comfortable that with SYA he can steer us through this period.
I bought my last parcel at the previous drop to low 5's , and feel that another top up could be on the cards.
It's funny that the lower the price gets, the less absurd the offtake agreement with PLL appears. I just would suggest that if a future offtake agreement is entered into, that the BOD go with something with a higher ceiling and a mechanism to be able to review pricing levels every couple of years based on prevailing spot prices.
