GM and POSCO are spending $1 billion on a CAM (cathodes) factory in Becancour.

The Li-Metal project will be producing cleaner, lighter and more efficient anodes using lithium metal produced by a unique process from lithium carbonate.

I wonder if Li-Metal anodes are compatible with Ultium’s batteries that will be manufactured using CAM from the GMH/POSCO plant?

Regardless of whether the technologies are compatible or not, the GM/POSCO model is one that could be repeated for the Li-Metal project.

The Becancour CAM plant was heavily incentivised by the governments of Canada and Quebec.

I see no reason why they would not do the same for a project at La Corne or Amos for Li-Metal and SYQ in partnership with a chemical producer and an OEM.
