Well they do turn problems into numbers, i was actually in the top 20% in Australia in mathematics in grade 12 and thoroughly enjoyed finance and statistics while in Uni so perhaps I have similar traits to an Acturist. Like with statistics you need to find a high confidence interval, to determine the probability that something may eventuate, most of the time that is looking at historical data and finding areas where past data clumps together or leads to. This is similar to my chart i guess where the majority of my lines crossed at a certain point indicating that there would be some sort of occurence there, with sentiment rising i figured that the area indicated would most likely be our bottom, along with our moving averages converging and companies complaining that they wont be able to continue operations.
