Doesn't add up exactly, Feb 14th 100m shorts were covered, Feb 15th shorts increased by about 1m, so either there was no covering or there were shorts opening as well on that same day.
If that's not the case then its possible no shorts covered on the 15th as people were made aware of the block trade, if they can cover with the shares in the block then they dont have to cover on market.
Then we're left with the fact that there has been buying up until news of this block trade. Was it people buying under the impression that that shorts will have to cover on market up until march, or is it genuine buying on news of a partnership or something of the sort?
The reaction by the market tomorrow will probably make things a lot clearer.
