NAL in the current pricing environment would be viable on its own. It is true that the ore body is challenging with a spider web of veins of lithium which don't allow for a consistent grade, however when prices are above $700/t this site would be profitably mined on its own. The downfall of the mine in 2019 was prices that fell into the $400 /t range combined with shipping to China because there wasn't a market in North America yet.
Fast forward to 2021, there is now a market for spodumene outside of China, and prices averaging above $750/t with a recent spot buy at Pilbera of a record high $1250/t.
