What some think should be material and what is actually considered material are often two different things, the ASX has rules on it.
The change of ownership has no financial effect and would be unlikely to have any effect on the shareprice either so would struggle to be classed as a material event under the ASX rules IMO.
The secretary, if we have one, is usually responsible for those matters but there is a public relations team that could always be asked about those issues.
