used to be 10% or less, but now it is a thing..... cos it gets preference for trade routing.... it is the 1st place the trade gets tested for execution when u place it...... mums n dads cannot sit inside cboe - their trades get bumped to asx if not immediately filled when placed - but "others" can stay in cboe, and sit just on the cboe queue without getting bumped to ASX. that is why u may be top of the asx queue and suddenly u r jumped by trades happening around u at ur price... those are trading inside cboe.... and they will trade before u trade.... and once ur order has been bumped to asx it cannot go back to cboe to trade...... nor can a cboe order trade with it.
