PLL and SYA signed the investment and offtake agreement on 11/1/21. PLL invested US12m into SYA.
The SC6 price at 31/12/20 was US$415 dmt CFR so setting at cap and collar deal at US$900/dmt and US$500/dmt respectively probably seemed a good deal at the time. It would have supported the funding strategy for NAL.
Unfortunately the exact science of hindsight diminishes the commercial effectiveness of the transaction.
