After a couple of days of profit taking last week, the LC futures seem to be resuming the upward trend today. How far will it go, is anyone's guess but it's good to see that the CNY110k/mt held very well during this pull back. Breaking CNY125/mt will be very bullish and it should see another strong run up in the futures prices. First strong resistance will be at CNY175,000/mt. Will it get there? Let's hope so. That will translate into spod price of around USD1,700/mt or $2,600 Aussie pesos.
Spod prices have also increased today to USD1,024 and trying to slowly catch up with the futures prices. It doesn't seem to help SYA though and I don't think anything will happen until next week. Friday should see an increase in the after hour volume and cross trades.
